Nashville is desperately trying to hold onto a playoff spot, but points will be hard to come by against Western Conference-leader San Jose.
Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Columbus gives San Jose (42-14-9) back-to-back wins in NHL hockey betting and kept the team two points ahead of Chicago in the West.
Patrick Marleau got the offense going with a pair of assists; goalie Evgeni Nabokov had a solid (if not quiet) day, making 21 saves.
Nashville (36-25-5) snapped a two-game losing streak with a 2-1 win in Atlanta. Dan Ellis carried the load by turning away 30 shots by the Thrashers.
The Sharks own a 2-1 lead in the season series. San Jose came out on top 4-3 in the last meeting thanks to two goals and an assist from Dany Heatley. JP Dumont potted a pair of goals for the Preds.
