Carolina is enjoying a great run right now, but it should beware of Pittsburgh on Thursday night, as the Penguins appear to be in Stanley Cup form.

Pittsburgh (40-22-4) has been excellent in NHL hockey betting since returning from the Olympic break. The Pens have ripped off four straight victories.

The Penguins squeezed out a 2-1 win over Boston on Sunday. Pascal Dupuis and Evgeni Malkin scored for Pittsburgh.

Carolina (27-31-7) is 8-1-0 in its last nine games, including Sunday’s 4-0 romp over the Thrashers. Manny Legace earned the shutout while Jussi Jokinen added a goal and an assist.

Pittsburgh and Carolina have split their two meetings this season, with the Canes getting the upper hand 3-2 last time they met. Sidney Crosby scored for the Pens while Ray Whitney had two points for Carolina.
