NHL Hockey Odds: Los Angeles Kings at Dallas Stars

The Los Angeles Kings will try to end their longest road trip of the season on a positive note tonight when they visit the division rival Dallas Stars.

Los Angeles lost its home opener but won its next four games, giving early hope to a franchise that hasn’t made the playoffs since 2001-02.

In terms of NHL futures odds, the Kings are listed at +5000 to win the Stanley Cup, while the Stars are listed at +4000.

Dallas, meanwhile, was facing a tall order Saturday at Chicago. However, the Stars scored four times at even strength, with Brenden Morrow collecting his team-high fifth goal in a 4-3 victory.

Backup goaltender Alex Auld, with his fifth team in four seasons, made 29 saves to improve to 2-0-0.

Last season, none of the six games between the Pacific foes was decided by more than one goal; four went into overtime and three ended in shootouts.
