NHL Hockey Odds: New Jersey Devils vs. Dallas Stars

Riding back-to-back four-goal efforts, the New Jersey Devils will look to finish a perfect three-game road trip and continue their recent success against the Stars when they visit Dallas tonight.

Thanks to fill-in goalie Scott Clemmensen, who is 13-5-1 with a 2.19 goals-against average this season, New Jersey has remained one of the NHL's best defensive teams even though Martin Brodeur will be out until at least February following elbow surgery.

The Devils had given up two or fewer goals in five straight games before Tuesday's 4-3 win at St. Louis.

The Stars have been playing better hockey lately going 4-0-1 in their last five games before Monday's 3-1 loss to San Jose.

The main problem for the Stars this season has been defense, as the team ranks 27th in the league with a 3.40 team GAA.
