NHL Hockey Odds: New York Islanders at Vancouver

Vancouver has played well since returning from the Olympic break, but the Islanders have won back-to-back games and could pose a challenge on Tuesday.

The Canucks (43-23-3) are 6-1-1 on NHL hockey odds in March. They’re in the midst of a five-game homestand and are coming off a 3-1 win over the Flames.

Roberto Luongo was stellar against Calgary. The netminder made 32 saves in the win and was tremendous in the third period, when Vancouver was outshot 11-0.

The Islanders (28-32-9) have won two straight after topping the Leafs 4-1 on Sunday. Martin Biron stopped 26 pucks in the win and Blake Comeau had three assists.

Vancouver and New York haven’t faced each other this season. They played twice in 2008, with each team earning a win on home ice.
