The Philadelphia Flyers will be well rested for their game Friday night against the Florida Panthers.

Philly has not laced them up since Saturday when they lost 3-2 in a shootout to the Ducks.

Mike Richards kept his goal-scoring streak alive and Chris Pronger netted his first goal as a Flyer, but Teemu Selanne rallied the Ducks with two goals in the third period and another in the shootout.

As a result, the Flyers were dealt their second consecutive one-goal loss after starting the season with three wins.

The Panthers are off to one of their worst starts in franchise history, and things sure don't get any easier. Florida's 1-4 record is tied for the worst in franchise history.

Florida has had some success the past few years against the Flyers. Last year the two teams split their four-game series, both teams winning a game at home and on the road.
