Both San Jose and Calgary are desperate for wins on Friday night. The Sharks are trying to secure first overall in the West, while the Flames are battling for the eighth and final playoff spot.

San Jose and Calgary have played each other twice on NHL hockey odds this season. The Sharks lost in 2-1 in December but responded with a 9-1 romp in mid-January.

Miikka Kiprusoff started both games for the Flames, with mixed results. He made 35 saves and was named first star in the 2-1 victory, but was yanked in the second game after allowing six goals on 34 shots. His replacement coughed up three more.

San Jose’s Evgeni Nabokov also played both games. He’s stopped 55 of 58 shots against the Flames this season.

Ryane Clowe has been the biggest Flame killer, scoring two goals and three points in his pair of games against Calgary this season.
