When the Vancouver Canucks take the ice on Friday night to play the Calgary Flames, they will be without one half of the Sedin twins.

Daniel Sedin, who has led the Canucks in goals for the last three seasons, will be out four to six weeks after breaking his foot during a game last Wednesday.

In their first game without Sedin, they beat the Dallas Stats 4-3 thanks to a couple of shootout goals by Kyle Wellwood and Ryan Kesler and a couple of key shootout saves from Roberto Luongo.

Starting with Friday's home game against the Vancouver Canucks, the Flames are home for 20 days and play only five games. It's a great time to put together the team that started with four wins but has lost three straight to fall to 4-2-1.

The home team is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings in this series.
