When looking at the NHL odds for Wednesday night, one matchup that stands out as a mismatch is the Phoenix Coyotes going up against the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Pens are coming off a 4-3 shootout win over the New York Islanders. Sidney Crosby scored a goal and recorded an assist to help Pittsburgh remain undefeated with a victory at Nassau Coliseum.

Evgeni Malkin had an assist to open the season with points in consecutive games.

Given the way they played on Saturday, the last thing the Coyotes want to do is take some time off. Eleven different Coyotes had at least one point, with two goals by Radim Vrbata leading the way in a 6-3 win over the Kings.

The Coyotes won't have a lot of advantages over opponents this season and don't have a dominant line to fall back on.

The home team is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings.
