NHL Odds: Western Conference Preview

When NHL wagering on who is going to dominate the Western Conference this season, it looks to be a three-horse race.

They may not be able to win anything when it really matters but the San Jose Sharks (+800 to win the Stanley Cup) are money in the regular season. That continues this season as they picked up disgruntled sniper Dany Heatley from the Ottawa Senators.

The Detroit Red Wings (+500) are still there of course, and are a good hockey bet to win the West.

The team that is on the verge of taking top spot and making backers a lot of money are the Chicago Blackhawks (+800). Can the young Hawks take the next step, or will having a target on their back increase the odds for a letdown?

Look for the Minnesota Wild (+4000) to make a move. New coach Todd Richards plans on changing the team’s style of play.
