Washington netminder Brent Johnson allowed three goals on 13 shots before getting replaced by Jose Theodore to start the third period. Theodore was just as bad, as he gave up four goals on 15 shots in his first game in nearly three weeks. Washington continues to struggle on the road, as the loss in Philadelphia dropped them to 7-10-2 on the road, compared to 13-1-1 at home.

The Rangers return to Madison Square Garden after a trip out west last week. New York took care of Anaheim and Los Angeles, but couldn’t get it done against San Jose on Saturday night in a 3-2 loss. Nikolai Zherdev scored his 12th goal of the season, but the Rangers also allowed the Sharks to score two power-play goals which were the difference on the scoreboard.

The Capitals beat the Rangers 3-1 in Washington back in November, with Alexander Semin notching a goal and an assist. NHL betting? Get it now with Bodog.
