The NHL Stanley Cup final really heated up Wednesday night in a physical, fast-paced, back-and-forth affair that ultimately saw the Philadelphia Flyers climb back into the series.
It appeared the Blackhawks were on the verge of a 3-0 lead when Patrick Kane beat Michael Leighton on a breakaway early in the third period of Game 3, but the resilient Flyers answered 20 seconds later with a Ville Leino goal. Even after having a goal disallowed at the start of overtime, Philly kept its foot on the gas and its relentless forecheck finally paid off.
Claude Giroux tipped home a point shot from Matt Carle at 5:59 of overtime to cut Chicago’s series lead to 2-1. Chicago at Philadelphia Game 4 odds will likely see plenty of bets for both teams.
