He lasted just two years in the pros before returning to the college game. Nick Saban is leaving the Miami Dolphins to accept a job with the University of Alabama, a deal believed to be worth around $40-million over 10 years. It is expected to make him the highest paid head coach in college football.

Miami owner Wayne Huizenga tried to keep the coach he hired at the end of 2004, but Saban supposedly decide to leave after struggling with devising a plan to rebuild the Dolphins in a short period of time.

"I'm not upset because it's more involved than you think," Huizenga told Yahoo! Sports. "I feel the pain of Nick after going through this with him. I think Nick's great – we want the best for Nick and his family."
