Patriots and Jets - That's a Pretty Big Point Spread

If you haven't taken the time to notice the point spread for this weekend's game between the New England Patriots and New York Jets, allow us to link you.

That's right, 24 points. New England's average margin of victory is 21 points per game. The Jets only average 18 points per game. You figure it out.

And don't be surprised if the line moves higher as the game approaches. As the Daily News reported yesterday, "America's Line opened the betting late Sunday night in Las Vegas with New England a 24-1/2-point favorite over the Jets. A few Internet sites had the Pats favored by as many as 25 and 27 points over Gang Green."

One caveat for all you Pats backers: The Jets are 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games at New England.
