Penn State Defeat Texas A&M to Win Alamo Bowl

Penn State rebounded from an early 14-point deficit to beat Texas A&M 24-17 Saturday night before a record crowd of 66,166 at the Alamo Bowl.

Two second-stringers, quarterback Darryl Clark and tailback Evan Royster, scored rushing touchdowns and Deon Butler caught a scoring pass for the Nittany Lions, who finished 9-4 for the second consecutive season.

Starting tailback Rodney Kinlaw went over 100 yards for the sixth time this season, helping Coach Joe Paterno notch his 500th game as coach as well as a record 23rd bowl victory.
