Pens Wins Game 3, Sens Nearly Dead
Considering he's obviously a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, we're not really sure if the Adam Sandler wannabe singing the song in the above video has the right to taunt the Ottawa Senators. At least they made the playoffs. Mind you, they haven't done shit since they got there.
Tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins took a 3-0 lead in their opening-round NHL playoff series with a 4-1 win in Ottawa. Sidney Crosby notched the winner a mere 12 seconds into the third period, snapping a shot past Senators goalie Martin Gerber.
Ottawa, unable to capitalize on the return of captain Daniel Alfredsson, will now attempt to match what only the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs and 1975 New York Islanders were able to do: come back to win a series after trailing 3-0.
Amazing Comeback in Music City
In other NHL playoffs action, the Nashville Predators scored two goals in nine seconds to take a 4-3 lead over the Detroit Red Wings with 3:58 left in the game. Nashville added an empty-netter to make it 5-3 and now trail Detroit 2-1 in the series.
