Platoon Backfield in Indy - And Other AFC South News

Rookie running back Joseph Addai ran 16 times for 82 yards against Houston while starter Dominic Rhodes gained 37 yards on 14 carries. Coach Tony Dungy said the plan is to continue to rotate the two backs as the Colts did in the first two games.

"Those guys are doing fine," Dungy told the Indianapolis Star. "As I've said before, one guy may be hot one game. It may be a different type of game. Joseph had the better stats yesterday, but Dom played really well."

For the season, Addai has rushed 23 times for 108 yards, a 4.7-yard average, and no touchdowns. Rhodes' totals are 30 rushes for 66 yards, a 2.2-yard average and two touchdowns. Both have caught five passes.
