Rafael Nadal Defeats Nicolas Kiefer In Third Round

Rafael Nadal, just weeks removed from trouncing Roger Federer at the French Open, is putting together a solid case for success at Wimbledon.

On Saturday Nadal defeated Nicolas Kiefer 7-6, 6-2, 6-3 to earn his spot in the fourth round of Wimbledon 2008.

The number two-ranked Spaniard got off to a slow start against Kiefer but managed to come around by the second and third sets, leading to the eventual victory.

Heading into Saturday's match up Kiefer, ranked 27th, had not even dropped a set.

With the third win under his belt Nadal will take on Mikhail Youzhny when the final 16 is cut in half on Monday.
