Ray Allen says Seattle SuperSonics Likely to Move

Ray Allen is certain the Seattle SuperSonics would have had a 50-win team had they not traded him during the off-season. He’s almost as certain that the team will leave Seattle.

"I thought they totally blew it by trading me," Allen told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. "And Rashard Lewis definitely wasn't thinking about coming back once that happened.”

“…all we talked about was we needed a third scorer. And we can get fortunate to be able to draft Kevin Durant. Under mine and Rashard's tutelage, whatever struggles (Durant) had would have been minimized because he wouldn't have had to take the brunt of all the offense."

As for the move to Oklahoma, Allen says the team will “more than likely” leave and lays the blame for that unfortunate circumstance on Seattle’s previous ownership group led by Starbucks chairman Howard Shultz, rather than new owner Clay Bennett.

Allen’s Boston Celtics travel to Seattle tonight to take on the Sonics and are currently 10-point favorites.

Boston is one of the best teams in the league against the spread while Seattle sits at 13-15.
