The Houston Rockets just can’t be stopped. Behind 30 points from Tracy McGrady, the Rockets extended their winning streak to 21 in a row with a 89-80 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night.

The winning streak is the second longest in NBA history. Only the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers (33 wins in a row) have a longer streak. The Rockets will meet L.A. Sunday in a battle for first place in the Western Conference.

McGrady, who has been amazing during the Rockets’ run, was serenaded with an “MVP!” chant from the crowd in Houston after the game.

The Bobcats got 28 points from Jason Richardson as they managed to beat the point spread, which favored Houston by 11.
