Spains's Sergio Garcia is making a huge run and stands in the lead at -5 after 14 holes of the 136th Open Championship at Carnoustie. Irishman Paul McGinley has the clubhouse lead after posting a 67 in the opening round.
Tiger Woods shot a two-under 69, which included a long putt at the par-3 16th. According to Woods, he was only worried about avoiding a bogey when he sent the ball rolling toward the cup. It kept going and going and going, finally dropping in.
Woods threw both arms in the air, then shrugged his shoulders as he looked toward caddie Steve Williams.
"I was just trying to get it up there close," Woods said. "I wanted to get it up where I would have an easy second putt. Lo and behold, it falls in."
