Selection Sunday is almost here and, Ok, we can’t pick all 65 teams. With several huge programs on the bubble, here’s one team we’d love to see make it—and one left on the outside staring in.

WE HOPE THEY MAKE IT

Connecticut – The Huskies are one of the biggest disappointments of the season and, after losing their opening game of the Big East tournament, are likely headed for the NIT. But after all the health issues coach Jim Calhoun has endured, wouldn’t UConn make a nice Cinderella story?

WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR

North Carolina – No, this isn’t Tar Heel Hate. North Carolina has suffered through a miserable season (by its own lofty standards) but this is a very young team with loads of potential. Why not let them suffer the sting of defeat and bust their butts in the offseason—and come back to do something special next year?
