There's Quite a Bit of Parity in the NHL

Football says it has it. So do basketball and baseball. But only one of the four major sports leagues can argue it has close to parity, and that's the NHL. With a hard salary cap in place, no team can grossly outspend another, and with only one team (Detroit) boasting a winning percentage over .600 and none less than .400, no matchup is a slam dunk.
