Tiger Woods has won the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship twice since its inauguration in 1999. In 2003, he beat David Toms 2&1 in the final match. The next year, it was Davis Love III 3&2. Since then, however, it's been three different champions - Toms in 2005, Geoff Ogilvy in 2006 and Henrik Stenson last year.

If Woods is ever to regain his title at the event, this year is probably as likely as any. The world's No. 1 golfer has already won twice in 2008, his first by seven strokes at the Buick Invitational. That was his third consecutive PGA Tour victory dating to last year, not counting an unofficial title at the the Target World Challenge. His second win came on the European Tour at the Dubai Desert Classic.

In fact, the last time Woods teed it up and lost came in September's Presidents Cup when Canada's Mike Weir beat him 1-up in the singles matches. No wonder oddsmakers like him at 5/2 odds to win his third WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship title.

Woods' first match comes Wednesday against J.B. Holmes where the former is a -450 favorite over the latter (+300).
