An impressive 48 of the top 50 golfers in the world will tee it up at TPC Sawgrass this week for golf's "fifth major".

Not surprisingly, the heavy favorite is the man who is also leading the Official World Golf Rankings and, for the first time in his career, the FedExCup standings: Tiger Woods. Woods won the Wachovia Championship on Sunday at Quail Hollow. It was his third victory in just six starts so far in 2007.

Woods is getting 5/2 odds to win THE PLAYERS. Next come Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh, both at 14/1. Ernie Els and Luke Donald are at 20/1 while Adam Scott, Retief Goosen, and Jim Furyk are at 25/1.

The defending champion, Stephen Ames, is getting 66/1 odds to win the golf tournament.

Who could be the 2007 version of Ames? Find out by reading Bodog Nation's latest golf betting article!
