Heading into Saturday's third round of the Stanford St. Jude Golf Championship, six players sat tied atop the leaderboard. Eighteen rounds later, South African Tim Clark sat alone at five under.
Clark, who shot six under on the day, leads the pack along with fellow countryman Trevor Immelman. Through the first three rounds of the tournament, Immelman sits tied for second place with Bill Haas, Alex Cejka, Gavin Coles and Marc Turnesa at three under.
Canadian Stephen Ames, Vijay Singh and Dean Watson round out the top ten, each at two under.
The best performance of the day was of course Clark, followed by Padraig Harrington who finished the day at four under.
Clark looks to win just his first PGA tournament, despite a relatively successful career that saw him place second a number of times, including once at the Masters in 2006.
