Tom Coughlin Is About To Be Much, Much Richer Than You

According to the New York Daily News, the New York Football Giants are prepared to offer head coach Tom Coughlin a four-year, $21 million contract extension to stay with the club for the forseeable future. Once the deal is confirmed, it's expected that Coughlin be getting $5.25 million annually.

This comes as a sharp turn of events from a guy who was on the verge of being shitcanned for most of 2006 and the start of the 2007 season. Now, he's going to be rolling in the dollars. How about them apples?

Kind makes the following bit from Tiki Barber and ESPN's 1st and 10 Crew somewhat irrelevant:

For the record, Coughlin's new contract is a $2 million increase over last season and what he was to have earned this year. The big cheese is still Seattle's Mike Holmgren, who is the NFL's top-paid coach at $8 million a year.
