Here's our list of the five best games of 2008.
- Jan. 1: The Texas Tech Red Raiders (-6.5) score 17 points in the final 3:31 to beat the Virginia Cavaliers 31-28 at the Gator Bowl.
- Sept. 27: The Mississippi Rebels (+23) block a PAT attempt to preserve a 31-30 upset of the Florida Gators. It was the Rebs' first win over a Top 5 team since 1977.
- Oct. 11: The Texas Longhorns (+7) win the highest-scoring Red River Shootout of all-time, downing the Oklahoma Sooners 45-35 and knocking them from the No. 1 spot in the polls.
- Nov.1: The Red Raiders (+3.5) end the Longhorns' undefeated streak with a 39-33 victory; Graham Harrell connects with Michael Crabtree for the winning score with one second left on the clock.
- Nov. 29: The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (+7.5) come back from 16 points down at halftime to beat the Georgia Bulldogs 45-42. The Bulldogs had won the previous seven meetings.
