One year after getting a five-year $22.5 million deal, the Denver Broncos have cut running back Travis Henry.
"Although Travis has the ability to be one of the top running backs in the NFL, we have to make decisions that are in the best interests of our organization and its goal of winning a Super Bowl," Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said in a statement. "We did not feel his commitment to the Broncos was enough to warrant a spot on this football team."
Not enough commitment? Didn't the Broncos see that coming? The guy probably has like nine kids from nine different baby mamas on the East coast alone that he barely hangs out with.
Henry looked like a solid acquisition by the Broncos after leading the league rushing after four weeks. But leg injuries slowed him down.
With Henry gone, Selvin Young is No. 1 on the depth chart.
