If there were tennis odds on Andy Roddick disappointing in a major tennis tournaments, there would be a lot of rich players in the Bodog Sportsbook.
Under a sweltering heat at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, New York, Roddick -- which U.S. Open odds listed as a -600 favorite in the match -- couldn't solve the serve of +375 underdog Janko Tipsarevic. Roddick was ousted after four sets (3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 7-6) and 16 aces by Tipsarevic, adding yet another early exit to his resume.
Recently Roddick had a fourth-round loss at Wimbledon and some poor results on the summer hard-court circuit, usually his best time of year. The ninth seeded pro recently revealed that he didn't come to New York 100 percent, but considering his only grand slam was at Flushing Meadows expectations were still high.
