UFC middleweight champion Anderson "The Spider" Silva (21-4-0) has cleaned out his division in the octagon with wins over Dan Henderson, (22-7-0) Travis Lutter (9-4-0), Nate Marquardt (26-7-2) and Rich Franklin (22-3-0)

Now, according to his manager, "The Spider" is looking for a new challenge, against a man once considered the best "pound-for-pound" boxer in the world

"Anderson really would love to fight Roy Jones, Jr. in a boxing match," manager Ed Soares tells MMAweekly.com. "It’s not just talk, we really would like to put that fight together."

"We respect Jones’ boxing ability and think he’s one of the best," Soares explains, "but we’re tired of different boxers saying that MMA fighters aren’t technical. Anderson would love to fight Roy Jones in a boxing match under boxing rules to prove that MMA fighters are technical, too."

But while other boxers have looked down on mixed martial arts, Jones (51-4, 38 KOs) is a big fan.

"I think it's wonderful," he said in an interview with Men's Fitness. "I'm a big fan. I watch a lot of it. I never really thought about getting in the cage, but I do love it. I love anybody that fights. That's just what I am. I'm a fighter and I love anybody that has the heart to go in there and face somebody one on one and fight. You got to love that, you know?"
