In what has to be considered a historical moment in American sports, the U.S. men's soccer team beat Spain 2-0 Wednesday and now find themselves in the FIFA Confederations Cup final for the very first time.
"We knew we had to pick and choose our moments to go forward," said Clint Dempsey, who scored the game's second goal. "We're happy with the result and we know we're going to have our work cut out to get anything out of the final."
This is so huge not only because it's a first for the Americans, but also because Spain hasn't been beaten since November 2006.
"To beat an amazing team like Spain and make the final. It's big," United States coach Bob Bradley said. "We played as hard as we could and that's what it took."
The United States will face either Brazil or South Africa in Sunday's final. Do you think the Americans can pull off another stunner?
