Who Will Ken Shamrock Fight Next?

It's easy to say that Ken Shamrock should retire from professional mixed martial arts. After all, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" has only been a danger to himself in recent years, with back-to-back-to-back first-round TKO losses to Tito Ortiz, Kazushi Sakuraba and Rich Franklin.

On Saturday, March 8 in England, Shamrock extended his losing streak to 5 fights with another punishing TKO loss in the opening round at the hands of British fighter Robert "Buzz" Berry. Now, fans are again wondering if he'll hang up the gloves.

But Shamrock probably won't retire. Despite his abysmal record, he's still a huge name in the sport and earns top-dollar every time he gets in the cage. Even though he's a long way from being among the top 10, Shamrock is still a fighter at heart, and as long as someone is willing to pay him, he'll keep fighting, even if it means getting beaten into a state of early senility.

So rather than wondering if Shamrock will fight again, the real question might be: Who will "The World's Most Dangerous Man" fight next?

Kimbo Slice

Matchmakers at Elite XC obviously intended the fight with Berry to be a tune-up for Shamrock, as "Buzz" was 11-7-0, with two consecutive losses by TKO before their fight. Shamrock, meanwhile, seemed to be looking past his opponent and towards a match against Kimbo. Brushing aside questions about the British fighter, the 44-year-old UFC veteran was instead talking about Slice's "weaknesses" and hinting at a possible fight down the road. Now, Berry has sent that plan straight into the toilet and possibly taken Shamrock's place in line.
