Roger Federer was ahead two sets to none and two games to none in the third set against his second-round Wimbledon opponent Juan Martin Del Porto of Argentina before play was suspended due to rain today.
Although the Argentine pushed the world’s No. 1 in the second set (7-5) Federer is dominating first service points and play at the net.
Play was stopped nearly and 1 hour and 30 minutes in and will continue tomorrow, weather permitting.
Although he hit a rough patch earlier this season with back-to-back losses before the French Open, Federer hasn’t lost a match on grass in five years and is looking to match Bjorn Borg by wining his fifth consecutive Wimbledon title.
