Winning Best Picture at the Academy Awards may be the highest honor that you can bestow on a film, as well as everyone involved with the movie and on Sunday, the 84th edition of the Oscars will be handed out in Hollywood. George Clooney

One of the closest races on Oscar night, when the Academy hands out their awards on Sunday night, should in the Best Actor category as George Clooney looks to pick up his second Oscar and first for Best Actor for his role in The Descendants. Meanwhile France’s Jean Dujardin is in the running for his performance in The Artist, which has been the darling of the awards season.

Lindsay Lohan’s life and career have been tumultuous, to say the least, as she has gone from a promising child actor in The Parent Trap, to an up-and-comer from Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, to various arrests and trips to drug rehabilitation. She has also gone to jail and is presently on probation for theft, and at 25-years-old, Lohan has been through it all and then some. She recently posed nude in Playboy, and the word is, Lohan will play Elizabeth Taylor in an original Lifetime move.

The story of music stars Rihanna and Chris Brown has taken many twists and turns throughout the years and it came to a head in 2009 when Brown was arrested on domestic abuse charges and was later found convicted on all counts. He managed to get a plea deal to avoid jail time but his career looked all but over while Rihanna continued to top the charts.

Jeremy Lin has taken over the city of New York, which says something about the futility of the Knicks, who haven’t won a playoff game since 2011 and have only two postseason trips in that time. This season was quickly spiraling out of control before Lin took over an 8-15 Knicks team and turned the “Big Apple” on its head. With Lin in the lineup, the Knicks had won nine of their last 10 and the former Harvard baller has now the king of New York.
